Namun, belum lama dibuka, polling itu kemudian ditutup oleh Fadli, yang kemudian dihapus. Setelah ditelusuri, polling itu dimenangkan oleh Jokowi - Ma'ruf dengan perolehan suara 65%, sementara Prabowo - Sandi hanya mendapatkan 35% suara dari total 34.635 suara pengguna Twitter.

Fadli berdalih polling dihapus karena ada aplikasi membeli polling di Twitter dan serbuan bot siluman dari Australia, AS, Kenya, Kroasia, Swedia, Malaysia, Inggris, Prancis, dan Brasil.

"Polling tadi terpaksa saya tutup karena ada aplikasi beli polling plus serbuan bot siluman. Jadi ini aja gantinya. Thanks. Ini sekedar taste the water," twit Wakil Ketua Umum Gerindra ini, Selasa (21/8) malam.

Fadli kemudian membuat polling lagi dengan metode yang berbeda. Kali ini dengan cara me-retweet (RT) postingan Fadli jika mendukung Prabowo - Sandi dan menyukai (like) jika mendukung Jokowi - Ma'ruf.

"Saya coba polling cara lain. Kalau pilpres hari ini siapa yang anda pilih: Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga (RT), Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin (Like)," tulis Fadli.

Polling ini dibuka mulai pukul 20.34 WIB. Hingga Rabu (22/8), pukul 00.50 WIB, hasil sementara polling menunjukkan Prabowo - Sandi memimpin dengan jumlah RT sebanyak 14 ribu, sementara Jokowi - Ma'ruf tertinggal jauh dengan jumlah like sebanyak 7030 like.(kumparan.com)
