Pada ronde pertama memang Indonesia memimpin nilai, namun dironde kedua Malaysia membalap nilai itu. Sementara pada ronde tiga Indonesia unggul tipis dari Malaysia hingga skor terakhir 4-1. Tak terima, Malaysia meninggalkan arena pertandingan Asian Games 2018 dan berkumpul di mixzone tempat wartawan menunggu atlet. Di situlah Malaysia berteriak dan mengatakan tak terima jika kalah, sampai salahsatu tim Malaysia memukul triplek pembatas hingga bolong dan terlepas. "Saya tak masalah dengan pesilat, saya masalah dengan juri-juri," ucap Jeffry di lokasi. Para volunteer segera merapihkan dan menambalnya dengan selotip dan membubarkan orang yang berkerumun.
