Diperkirakan bakal bebas pada April tahun depan, Ahok akan menjadi penulis. Pasalnya, selama mendekam di Rutan Mako Brimob Depok, Ahok banyak membaca dan menulis buku.
Tak hanya menjadi penulis buku, Ahok juga bakal menjadi narasumber atau pembicara di acara talkshow. "Rencananya (setelah bebas), ya tadi, nulis buku mungkin bisa bicara sebagai itu. Dia banyak nulis, begitu keluar mungkin dia akan keliling untuk bicara, narasumber kek, talkshow kek, atau apa kek," ujar Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Kamis, 16 Agustus 2018.

Urus bisnis
Ahok akan segera bebas dari jeruji besi dalam hitungan bulan. Beberapa rencana pun telah disiapkan, termasuk kembali mengurus bisnisnya.

Sebab itu, Nana Riwayatie telah meminta Ahok untuk segera mencari pendamping hidup setelah benar-benar bebas dari penjara.

"Kalau aku sih pengen dia cepat kawin biar enggak bengong. Dia (Ahok) bilang kakak cariin aja," tutur Nana.

Menurut Nana, Ahok mencari perempuan yang akan dijadikan sebagai istri dengan beberapa kriteria.
"Syaratnya Jawa, perawan. Tidak terima janda. Kata Pak Ahok dia trauma sama yang seetnis mantan istrinya terlalu suka membantah perkataan suami," ujar Nana.(*)
